SCORE SETUP AND NAVIGATION

- to add instruments in a new scores: add or remove instruments. “FIND” or “choose from” the list Sibellius provides. Sselect the desired instrument then click add to score.
- if you want to delete some instrument that you chose onthe right hand side, you select the instrument then “Delete from Score”
- shift click to make a continious selection/ control click to select noncontinuous instruments.
- for vhanging the order of the instrument in the score, select the instrument and click “up” or “down” button.
- click ok

- is a collection of fonts and graving rules and other settings to give your music a custom appearance.
- Sibellius offers many ready housestyles for many types of music.
- The first tirm referrs generaly to the type of music.
- Second term is the music font.
- the last tirm, if it exists is the text font.

- you can lso choose your page size or orienttion: “Page size: Letter”.
- next chose the time signature. Less common meaures, press other.
- you also see an obtion for a pickup bar. “Start with bar of length” and you chose the duration of a note.
- you can selects the metronome mark

- you can renew the intrument name
- once you have renamed the shortened names, Sibellius will complete the other pages for you.

- forgot to add an instrument? Press “I” for instruments.

“Ctrl” and “-” to zoom out
“Ctrl” and the mouse wheel - zoom out and zoom in.
Scrolling up/down with the mouse ssimply in the score.
“Shift” ad scrolling - Navigating left/right on the score
- if there is a bar selection im the core and you zoom in, Sibellius will zoom there.
- or navigation left/right click and hold the mouse. The cursor will turn in a hand.

“Home”+“end” - move a screenful left/right.
“Page up/Page down” — move a screenful up/down.
“Ctrl”+“home/end” - you navigatet to the bginning or the end of your score.
“Shift”+“p” - panorama

- to see the shortcuts for the ribbon buttons press and release the “alt” button. For example “ctrl”+“n”+“bl” - for bar line.
- “ctrl”+ 3 - create a triplet and select a note
